Networking - An Effective Job Search Tool

Do you know how to network effectively? Cheryl Palmer, career coach and founder of Call to Career discussed how to use networking as an effective job search tool. Cheryl was the third guest speaker in the Winter 2008 Passionate Growth Teleseminar Series

Cheryl Palmer, M.Ed. is a career coach and a professional resume writer. She has been a guest on a radio show entitled Insight on Coaching hosted by Tom Floyd where she discussed the needs of Generation X in the workplace and how managers from other generations can get the best out of this segment of the workforce. In addition, she was a guest on the radio show “Balance and Wisdom” where she discussed networking for your career with hosts Barbara Phillips and Joanie Winberg.

In an article on Hot Jobs’ website entitled “The Art of Being Assertive,” Cheryl was quoted as a subject matter expert on how assertiveness can help a person advance in his or her career. Cheryl also has a background in training and curriculum design on career development topics. She does workshops on career choice and various aspects of the job search process such as resume writing, interviewing skills, and networking.
